Wed 26th May 2021 | 10:10 AM Shanghai, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2021 ) :Two escaped tigers killed their keeper in China and were shot dead, state media reported, in the latest incident underlining the country s chaotic handling of dangerous animals. Tuesday s incident in central Henan province comes with authorities still hunting for one of three leopards that escaped in eastern China, in a separate case that shocked the public. The tigers belonged to a circus which had rented them out to a separate tourist attraction near the city of Nanyang for shows, Xinhua news agency said. As a staff member was feeding the big cats, they got loose and mauled the man. He later died in hospital, the report said.

Missing leopard in China feared dead as tiger in village attack returns to wild

May 20, 2021 The second of two escaped leopards recaptured and returned to Hangzhou Safari Park in Zhejiang, China. CCTV A juvenile leopard that fled from a safari park in eastern China last month is feared to have died, while a Siberian tiger that wandered into a town in northeastern China around the same time has returned to the wild. Rescue workers and drones are still looking for the two-year-old leopard in the hills around suburban Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, after it escaped with two other spotted cats on April 19, according to local authorities. The other two have been recaptured and returned to the park.
