Youve been talking with neighbors and a resident who was inside that burning building. Reporter one person died. Another is at christiania hospital this morning. The fire chief said the fire started in one apartment and spread to the attic and spread to another building in the apartment complex. 17 parmts apartments were damaged in all of this. Fire crews got on scene the fire was advance and flames were shooting from the roof of the 3 story building. They worked to get the fierce claims under control. There are structural i and collapses inside, no firefighters were injured in all this. Again, one person confirmed dead, one person taken to the hospital. I did speak to a resident he said he and his wife and 10monthold son had to rush out amid the smoke and flames and this all happened days before christmas. Residents are devastated. Injuries, you can see firefighters remain on the scene here in claymont after a long night balloting this blaze. There are 24 battling this blaze. There are 24 apartments affected in the complex. You can see that the flames were just whipping throt homes overnight. Through the homes overnight. Firefighters rescued a person from their apartment. The fire started at 2 30 a. M. At the harbor house apartment complex on harbor drive in claymont. When firefighters got here they were met with heavy flames shooting from the roof of the three story Apartment Buildings. Firefighters attacked the blaze and worked to get the flames under control. The cause is under investigation. At this point, again we know there are 24 units, but theres no word on how many people have been displaced in the fire. We did receive word that one person has died and at least one person is injured this morning, the fire marshal is on scene as the Investigation Continues and of course well continue to bring you updates
