GNIDA said it will shift the vendors to designated zones soon
Greater Noida: A residents’ group has complained to the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) about increasing encroachment by vendors at key junctions of the city. The residents said the encroachment not only led to traffic snarls during rush hours, but also posed a security threat to those living in nearby colonies.
“We have lodged complaints with the GNIDA both verbally and in writing, but no action has been taken yet. All major roads, market areas and intersections are now occupied by these vendors, who not only cause traffic congestion but also pose safety threats,” said Harinder Bhati from the Active Citizens Team.
