I’ve been to Barbados many times since I was a child. My parents, following in the footsteps of a lot Brits, chose it as our winter holiday destination year after year and I kept up the tradition, swapping frenetic kids clubs for long, sleepy trips with girlfriends.
But this year saw me doing my first trip to the Caribbean island during a pandemic. Along with having my partner, Alex, in tow for the first time, I’d also be going through a spate of new Covid rules as part of our week’s holiday.
