Christopher Cotham faces two felony counts and two misdemeanor counts in connection with nomination papers filed in East Providence, Newport, and Jamestown during last year’s First Congressional District race.

Police say Christopher Cotham admitted he used whitepages.com to find people's names and fake their signatures.

The decision comes 18 days after the board placed the lieutenant governor on the Sept. 5 Democratic primary ballot in the First Congressional District race.

Separately, the attorney general is moving forward with a criminal investigation into forms submitted by Sabina Matos’ campaign.
