The wintry blast of arctic conditions brought much of the region to a halt for several days is now over, however the thaw is on and a bevy of local activities and clean-up efforts are on tap. Here is a quick round of of newsy nuggets from the South Montgomery County area. Heather Neeley, city manager of Oak Ridge North, was kept busy with emergency response in the small city and said recovery efforts are ongoing. In this Feb. 16 photograph, Ice covers Robinson Road and traffic continued to be light that day.
