Michael Brenner, president and CEO of the Brenner Family of Dealerships, a family business that has been in operation for nearly 100 years, died Monday of complications related to COVID-19. He was 68.
“There are people who have worked with him for 20, 25, 30 years, that obviously are extremely affected here,” Richard Canazaro, general manager of the Brenner Family of Dealerships, said Tuesday. “There’s many people who owe their livelihoods to Michael Brenner. And he was extremely community-focused. I don’t believe there are a lot of folks in this community that know his philanthropic causes because he kept them quiet.”
