A decision to spare 300 cultural sites and a huge tract of bushland that would have been flooded by raising a dam wall is being celebrated by traditional owner and environmental activists.
A much-debated plan to raise the Warragamba Dam wall has been scrapped by the NSW Government but protecting low lying areas from future flood events is still front of mind for many.
