According to a Feb. 18 email filed with ADEM by Josh Stewart, an ADEM employee at the Decatur branch, the brush fire began Feb. 13 and the landfill manager was “unsure how the fire started because that area of the pile wasn’t actively receiving waste thereby ruling out the possibility of a hot load.”

If you thought you saw Santa Claus driving around in Hartselle on Thursday, you re right! Ole Saint Nick paraded through Hartselle City Schools.
The Hartselle Fire Department drove Santa around so his reindeer can rest for Christmas.
Kids were jumping for joy when they saw Santa Claus.
A principal told WAAY 31 this nice visit got everyone in the holiday spirit.
