Punjab makes record of development budget use in 10 years

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday appreciated the objectives of the Punjab Development Programme and directed continuous monitoring of these projects, saying officers of all districts and related agencies will be responsible for timely completion of projects.
The prime minister directed that not only modern scientific methods should be used for monitoring the completion of projects, but also a system of continuous monitoring through third parties should be devised to keep them informed in this regard.
He also emphasised that special attention should be paid to the district development package to ensure the provision of facilities to the people, and that playgrounds should be built for the youth in each district to provide them with opportunities for healthy activities.

Buzdar, Dawood decide to set up international expo center in Punjab

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and Adviser to Prime Minister for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razzaq Dawood in a meeting here Sunday principally decided to set up a state-of-the-art International Expo Center in Punjab.
The chief minister directed the concerned departments to take all necessary steps in this regard at the earliest. The matters of promotion of Cooperative Agricultural Farming in Punjab also came under discussion during the meeting. The meeting also reviewed the proposal of setting up of Plug & Play Centre in Multan for the stitching industry.

LAHORE:Provincial Minister for Law and Cooperatives Raja Basharat has said the Punjab government wants to ensure provision of health cards to every family in the current year, which is an important step towards Prime Minister Imran Khan s vision for the state of Madina.
He stated this while chairing a meeting at Chief Minister s House on Tuesday. Provincial Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, Provincial Finance Minister Hashim Javan Bakht, P&D chairman and the secretary of departments of specialised healthcare and finance and law were also present on the occasion.
The meeting considered various models for providing free health insurance to every family in Punjab. Raja Basharat said that according to the plan, health insurance of up to Rs1 million would be provided to each family. LAHORE: The participants of a meeting chaired by Senior Punjab Minister Abdul Aleem Khan at the Chief Minister s House discussed the new local body system.
The meeting was participated by Provincial Ministers including Law Minister Raja Basharat, Mian Mahmood ur-Rasheed, Hashim Javan Bakht, Sibtain Khan, Mian Khalid Mehmood, Hasnain Bahadur Dareshak, Sardar Asif Nikai, Chaudhry Akhlaq Hussain and Chaudhry Zaheer-ud-Din in which various proposals were presented for the establishment of new local bodies in Punjab. The reorganization of the local government system included formation of Municipal Committees, Town Committees and Metropolitan Corporations in various cities of the province.
