Radio 5 presenter Nihal Arthanayake has said social media trolls have created the illusion that the countryside was not welcoming to ethnic minority visitors.

The claim was made in a report by the Wildlife and Countryside Link, a group with 80 members including WWF, the RSPCA and National Trust.

Wildlife and Countryside Link, a charity umbrella group, made the claim earlier this week in evidence provided to Parliament on racism and its influence on the natural world.
