film the purge. we ve heard the same rhetoric from republicans all over the country, including former president donald trump. many of us that are in the social justice movement, and many of the man s you are president have advocating crime programs and police reform at the same time. what do you make of this strategy of the republicans using crime as a way to act as though many of us are not concerned with both crime and reform? i totally agree with you, rev. the crime narrative being pushed by conservative elected officials and conservative folks who are running campaigns, it s eerily reminds us of different types of issues where they are trying to bring different heads of politics into play when it really deals with the day in the lives of our residents. we have black mayors, and mayors in general who are leading our nations cities, we are waking up every day praying for the men and women of our
