Encore Creativity for Older Adults, the nation’s largest choral organization for adults over 55, is pleased to welcome community members of all ages to its concert series that kicks off Dec. 9 and runs through the 26th.

The Singin’ Axes and Kantorei choirs at Stephen F. Austin State University will present the concert “O Magnum Mysterium” when the choral ensembles perform at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, in Cole Concert Hall on the SFA campus.
Conducted by Dr. Tod Fish, associate director of choral activities for the SFA School of Music, and Caroline Van Landingham, graduate student in choral conducting from Cypress, the ensembles will also perform John Rutter’s “Gloria,” Richard Felciano’s arrangement of “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel,” Joshua Himes’ setting of the “Ave Maria” text, and Hawley Ades arrangement of Leroy Anderson’s audience favorite “Sleigh Ride.”
