Hayden Conner’s commitment to the Texas Longhorns was one of the early cycle surprises in the 2021 recruiting class, as the three-star offensive lineman from Katy Taylor announced with the snap of his fingers that he would be taking his talents to Austin.

Conner has now officially put pen to paper and become a Longhorn on Early Signing Day, but early on he wasn’t widely viewed to end up in Austin.

Everman athlete Juan Davis officially signed his National Letter of Intent to the Texas Longhorns on Wednesday morning.
Listed at 6’4 and 217 pounds, Davis is a bit of tweener for a receiver, which is why he’s listed as an athlete by most recruiting services he possesses the frame of a college tight end, but based on his high school experience, Davis is more familiar playing a skill position. It’ll be interesting to see if the Texas coaching staff decides to develop him as a receiving tight end or as a potential slot receiver.
