MANILA - The Department of Health (DOH) on Friday logged 2,109 recoveries and 2,376 new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19). In its daily Covid-19 bulletin, the health department said the active case tally slightly dropped to 37,377 compared to 38,014 on Wednesday and 40,786 on Tuesday, with 69 percent listed as mild, 5.4 percent asymptomatic, 3.5 percent critical, 8.2 percent severe, and 13.94 percent moderate. The overall recovery tally rose to 2,716,524, or 97.1 percent of the total confirmed infections of 2,797,986. The total death toll, meanwhile, increased to 44,085 with 260 new deaths. Based on data as of Friday, the DOH reported that four out of the total operating laboratories nationwide have yet to submit their Covid-19 data to the Document Repository System (CDRS).
