LONG HILL TWP. - Students from Soo Bahk Do Karate of Gillette competed in a first of its kind virtual national martial arts competition on Saturday, Nov. 7. This competition was part of the 75th anniversary celebration of Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan, an international organization with schools on five continents. Disabilities, it doesnt mean they cant do what we can do. im the head instructor at breaking barriers martial arts. breaking barriers teaches children with all types of abilities. so we have down syndrome, muscular dystrophy, autism, adhd. its just really fun to see them coming out of their shells and really being comfortable in who they are, knowing that being different is okay. i have two younger brothers, and her both diagnosed with autism at a young age. it was really hard to tind something ...
