Good morning. Talk into the microphone. Good morning, commissioners, i am a senior resident of the housing park project. I love the buchanan mall area that was transformed when citizen film and green street and others made it a point to make it a livable area. When i say livable, it was just a bearren land before. Nothing was there but neighbor a basketball court. Now there are beautiful flowers and herbs and Entertainment Center to it is and read a book in the warm sunlight. It makes tourists really want to stop by and visit and look at our murals to see what we are doing in the neighborhood. At one point we had a beautiful garden there were i would pick my Collard Greens and cook and eat them, of course. I am looking forward to the concept to be done with the new area because i am sure it is going to be successful, and i am hoping that as much funding as possible can be given to that area, too. Firefighters in the south bay are battling a grass fire this afternoon which started around 12 15 along santa teresa boulevard and bailey avenue, in south san jose. So far, the fire has burned 75 acres and about 15 homes have been evacuated. People in the surrounding area are being told to stay indoors, because of the heavy smoke. As the sun sets tonight, some relief from the heat across the bay area, it was a second day of record breaking temperatures. Some parts of the bay area topping 100 degrees. Chief meteorologist jeff ranieri has been tracking the rise in our temperatures and, jeff, we want to know when the temperatures are going to start to fall. Well, tomorrow well begin to see some, at least a little bit of relief. We are on the downward side of this heat wave. And talk about hot. I know a lot of you know just from driving around in your car, just how hot it was. You can see livermore 106, danville 105, south san jose also at 104. So with all of this heat, the numbers have kind of tckled ver at 81. Fremont 79. But notice right near the coast line were dropping down to 60s here for mill valley into San Francisco. Its part of some larger changes that eventually officially get here as we move through this weekend. Well have a stor
