Back if hes busy. One word describes our agent lynn and thats angel. Lynn is very available to us, very compassionate. She didnt just sign us up and forget about us and thats very important to us. Dont you ever tell me that you didnt want to bother me on the weekend or on the evening or its a holiday. My criteria to every one of my members is, if this is important to you, then you call. I dont care what time it is. When you meet with your consultant or attend a seminar, theres never any pressure to sign up. They simply present the plan and you decide for yourself if its right for you. The seminars are a great place to learn more they really break it down and go over all the benefits. Then theres time afterwards for you to meet one on one with a consultant and get any questions answered. Well i really commend the people that come to the seminars. Plan rather than just staying home and more or less puttin their heads in the sand. But when they come to an optimum seminar theyll see a terr
So, im kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place and i was hoping that the commission or the board would be able to help me get to the bottom of this. And i have gotten a lot of correspondence from them that thats all that theyll pay. Id like to have our manager of member services, mitchell gray. Id like to have him work with you on that. Ive got paper. Okay, fine. Thank you. [speaker not understood], retired and active firefighters. Id like to basically piggyback on what claire said regarding these rates, but also add to the city leaving themselves open for discrimination suits. If im a Single Person and i have to pay any amount of money for my health care, im turning around and saying i want the same benefit this person with two kids is getting because thats a benefit theyre getting. And if im not getting that same benefit in monetary amount, then i am being discriminated against because why should Somebody Just because theyre married get more benefits . One of the reasons why th
For, particularly for my out of Network Payments or out of network coverage. I have a i am covered by medicare. And what i understand is irrespective of the medicare coverage, for my out of Network Payments or coverage excuse me, im really nervous. It should be at the 50 of the ucl rates. Is that correct . As im understanding it . Yes, okay. What united is telling me now is they will only cover 50 of what a medicare physician would cover if i were seeing a medicare physician. But i am not seeing medicare physicians and, so, for example excuse me i see a doctor who charges 225 for a visit. So, rather than paying me 50 of 225, united is now paying me 37. Which, if that continues, i can no longer see my physician and i would like to be change policies or out of the open Enrollment Period if i can no longer see my physician. And paying 1700 a month for the privilege of seeing an out of plan provider. So, im kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place and i was hoping that the commission
That these plans need to be or that we need to screen for or the plans need to bring to our attention affirmatively. And if we dont have that kind of on our checklist, i would ask that we get it on there because it may be something of a larger consequence. And i know that your staff cant spend its time screening all of the stuff that comes from the department of managed care, but it seems like we had a hole here to get this done and id like to know how we plan to solve it. Thats a very good question. We did have one of our steps in preparing for the rates and benefits to have our consultants do a review of any federal or state changes that need to be brought to [speaker not understood] on the rates and benefits and this was missed. So, we do have a process for it, we miss it had, and i think it wasnt until kaiser let us know this was occurring, really last week and saying this is now part of the rates benefits that we were alerted to the fact. I think its fair to say we should also be
