Caldwell County School Board Chairman Tim Kennaday and Heath Cartwright
Wednesday marks the final day for Caldwell County Public Schools Interim Superintendent Heath Cartwright, as he re-enters the retirement world.
Cartwright took over the district on September 1, 2020, following the retirement of Nate Huggins. Before accepting the position, Cartwright retired in 2019 from the McCracken County Public School district.
Cartwright tells the News Edge the 2020-21 school did not go as planned because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The school board started taking applications for the superintendent position at the end of November and received nineteen applicants, which the screening committee narrowed down to five candidates in January to present to the board.
Roach, who currently lives in Madisonville, introduced his wife and two children to those on hand at the special called meeting and said they plan on moving to Princeton and are looking forward to being a part of the community.
