The Wyoming Highway Patrol says Heather Weber was riding north when she failed to negotiate a left-hand curve, went off the right side of the highway and struck the canyon wall. The patrol says speed and driver inattention are being investigated as possible contributing factors. Weber is the first motorcyclist and the 32nd person to die on Wyoming s highways this year.

(Fremont County, WY) – Around 12:25 PM Saturday afternoon, May 15th, a motorcycle crash was reported near milepost 115 on US-20 / WY-789 north of Shoshoni. The driver fatally injured in the crash has been identified as 34-year-old Heather Weber. According to the preliminary information released by Wyoming Highway Patrol, Weber was northbound on the highway and reportedly failed to negotiate a left-hand curve. She exited the roadway and became separated from the motorcycle after striking the canyon wall. She was not wearing a helmet.
