EL CENTRO â The Imperial County Board of Supervisors denied the appeal to halt the Heber 2 Geothermal Repower Project and approved several items allowing the project to move forward at its regular meeting Tuesday, July 27. The Board approved the finding of categorical exemption, mitigated negative declaration, de minimus finding, and conditional use permit (CUP) for the project located at 855 Dogwood Road in Heber.
Kendra Hartmann of Adams Broadwell Joseph & Cardozo represented the appellants. The appeal was filed on behalf of Imperial County citizens, including Jaime Cuevas, Dalila and Efrain Guzman, and Eric Jones.
