THE new £22m Greenock Health and Social Care Centre is opening its doors on Monday. The convenor of Inverclyde s Integrated Joint Board Councillor Jim Clocherty today hailed the new facility as bringing state-of-the-art healthcare right into the heart of the community. From next week onwards health and social care services are moving in to the building on the former Inverclyde Academy site. As well as GP practices serving a population of around 30,000 there will be a host of specific services based within the new health centre. Councillor Clocherty said: The new centre is fantastic and the building really has the wow factor.
