Visitation will resume at the Shelby County Youth Justice and Education Center on Saturday, April 20, according to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office (SCSO).
A lack of resources, including and especially financial ones, have thwarted the ability to effectively rehabilitate teenagers in the Shelby County Juvenile Court system.
One commissioner said he is pushing for continued improvements at Juvenile Court, in an effort to make sure resources are available to help young offenders.
