VOLUNTEERS from across Springburn have been thanked for their “tireless efforts” throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. Springburn Community Council, Springburn Parish Church and the Salvation Army have all been recognised in the House of Commons. A motion, submitted by Anne McLaughlin MP, congratulates their “tremendous” efforts to support the community since lockdown began back in March. The organisations have been working around the clock to provide whatever support is required by vulnerable people. Thousands of food packages have been delivered to people in need alongside toiletries, prescription medicine, sanitary products and other essential items.
