The 23-year-old, who had participated in the Miss Ecuador pageant in 2022 representing Los Ríos Province, was shot and killed by two armed assailants in broad daylight on Sunday.<br /><br />The horrifying event, captured by CCTV cameras, showed Landy chatting with a man at a restaurant when two gunmen entered and attacked them. She dropped to the floor while the man next to her sought cover.
