John Thornton, 39, is charged with transmitting in interstate commerce communication containing any threat to injure the person of another, a violation of federal law. According to the affidavit, the Federal Investigations Bureau received information on May 18 that Thornton was sending threatening messages to four people in Texas and Florida via text messages.
