DUBAI, 16th December 2022 (WAM) The Dubai Police Hemaya International Centre, under the patronage of Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, has launched the second edition of the Hemeya Clip Contest in cooperation with Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award. The Dubai Police Award for the Best Awareness Video of Photography in the Security Field, also known as Hemaya Clip, targets students of universities, institutes and colleges inside the UAE of all nationalities and citizens of.

As many as 11 students were honoured by the Dubai Police and Hemaya Centre recently for creating videos to raise awareness about the hazards of drugs and addiction.
The students had participated in the Hemaya Clip contest initiative that was launched by Dubai Police in 2019 to spread awareness about the dangers of consuming illegal drugs.
Lt. Gen. Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, honoured the winners of the contest and the media teams that provided coverage during the event.
Dubai: As many as 25 journalists and media personalities were honoured in Hemaya-Media initiative for covering the Hemaya Clip contest.
Gulf News was honoured with the best media coverage in English language while Emaratalyoum was chosen the topper in Arabic.
Hussain Al Beloushi won the best coverage title among social media influencers.
Earlier, 11 university students were awarded with a Dh100,000 prize in Dubai on Thursday for recording 60-second awareness clips on drug and video game addiction, besides online bullying.

Dubai: Eleven university students were awarded with a Dh100,000 prize in Dubai on Thursday for recording 60-second awareness clips on drug and video game addiction, besides online bullying.
The students, who had participated in the contest called Hemaya Clip were honoured by Lt General Abdullah Khalifa Al Merri, Commander-In-Chief at Dubai Police, at a ceremony at Naif Police station.
The initiative, organised by Hemaya International Centre at Dubai Police, was announced in October 2019 to spread awareness about the dangers of substance and painkiller abuse.
It also stressed on the role of the family in protecting children from substance abuse.
The first winner was Emirati student Ali Omran Ali for his clip on online addiction while the second place was taken by Algerian student Buzar Abdulrahman who focused on the abuse of painkillers. The third place was won by Emirati student Shama Al Kaabi, again for a clip on internet addiction.
