Trio convicted and jailed for drug offences in Popua

'Aisea Havea (35) and Kaniteli Guttenbeil (33) who were caught red-handed sitting in their car with eight small packets of cannabis and a pipe in an open bag between them at Popua, were found guilty of possession and sentenced to jail terms.

Imprisonment for offender in Ma ufanga drugs bust

Venasio Hau (32) was sentenced to four-years and six-months imprisonment, partially suspended, for possession of 27.76 grams of methamphetamine, while his two co-accused received suspended sentences. The illicit drugs were seized after Police received information of it being sold at a residence in Ma'ufanga.

Jail time for meth selling offender

Heneli Manuofetoa (42) was sentenced to two-years imprisonment for charges, including possession of 0.78 grams of methamphetamine seized inside his vehicle, after Police received information that he was selling illicit drugs in Nuku’alofa.

Property offenders in Ministry of Revenue burglary sentenced

Habitual property offender, Siaosi ‘Ulukivaiola (25) a prisoner, got more jail time for breaking into the Ministry of Revenue office and stealing laptops and other property worth $34,650. His two co-offenders who received the stolen property were also sentenced to jail, with one sentence suspended.

Two men convicted of receiving laptops stolen from government

Viliami Tu’ipulotu and Heneli Manuofetoa have been found guilty of receiving stolen property, namely laptops stolen from the Ministry of Revenue in 2022.
