+ February 27, 2021 MARINE troops together with policemen have destroyed some half-a-million pesos worth of marijuana in a remote village of Sulu, military officials announced.
Major General William Gonzales, 11th Infantry Division commander, said the marijuana plantation was discovered by the 4th Marine Brigade troops, specifically the Marine Battalion Landing Team-7 (MBLT-7), around 4 p.m. Wednesday at Sitio Kan Basih in Masjid Punjungan village, Kalingalan Caluang, Sulu.

Ursabia and Luuk Mayor Maryam Arbison led the inauguration and blessing of the 600 square meter land, located at Port Area, Barangay Tanduh Bato, donated by the Arbison family in support of the Coast Guard’s mission to find a strategic location in the eastern part of Sulu to extend humanitarian services to local residents.

SULU: Another Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) group declared persona non grata against all Abu Sayyaf terrorists in the Municipality of Kalingan Caluang here Tuesday.
The persona on grata pronouncement is a clear manifrstation that MNLF group led by commander Ali Julkipli is one with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in establishing and maintaining peace and order in the municipality.
Julkipli signed a peace covenant with the Marine Battalion Landing Team 7 in a simple yet unque ceremony held in the military camp Tuesday.

Commander Lt. Col. Eduard Olaso signed the covenant on behalf of fhe government and was presided and witnessed by Col. Hernanie Songano and Mayor Hurshamier Halun.
January 21, 2021 THE base commanders of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) under commander Ali Julkipli of Kalingalan Caluang, Sulu has declared the Abu Sayyaf bandits as persona non-grata in all of its camps and communities in the town.
The declaration is contained in a peace covenant Julkipli and his base commanders signed together with the Marine Battalion Landing Team-7 (MBLT-7) in a ceremony Tuesday, January 19, at the MBLT-7 headquarters in Karungdong village, Kalingalan Caluang.
Colonel Hernanie Songano, 4th Marine Brigade commander, presided the activity.
Lieutenant Colonel Eduard Olaso, MBLT-7 commander, said in a statement that the denouncement of the MNLF against the presence of Abu Sayyaf bandits in their respective camps and communities is a clear manifestation that MNLF, as Peace Inclined Armed Groups (PIAG), is one with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in establishing and maintaining peace and order in Kalingalan Caluang town.
