Qatar Museums (QM) revealed the name and brand of Dadu: Children s Museum of Qatar, the nation s first institution to offer children and their families a dedicated place for learning and growth through inclusive, open-ended play, exploration, and experimentation.
Conceived as an oasis of stimulating, interactive, and accessible indoor and outdoor experiences in the heart of Doha, Dadu will nurture children s development, inspire their curiosity, encourage collaboration and dialogue, provide the tools to fuel creativity, and instill a sense of social responsibility. Dadu is a word in classical Arabic describing marks made in play or creative activity, from footmarks left on the ground to carvings on stones.

Doha: Qatar Children’s Museum (QCM) is celebrating the holy month of Ramadan with online activities centred on the themes of family engagement, heritage and culture to promote #RamdanJoyToAll.
Throughout the holy month, the museum is working closely with members of the community to highlight how Qatari culture and family bonds feature an intergenerational perspective using oral history videos, challenges (fawazeer), and other various activities.
In celebration of Garangao, the annual children’s festival held on the 15th night of Ramadan, QCM hosted a workshop on social media with cultural expert, Najla Al Hemaidi, on April 24, who demonstrated how to make various items such as medallions, bookmarks, baskets, and more using palm tree weaving.
