The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration reviewing a recommendation from the Department of Health and Human Services to lower pot to Schedule III

Marijuana is currently classified as a Schedule I drug and remains completely illegal in some states and at the federal level. The HHS recommendation is to reclassification of marijuana from its current category to a Schedule III drug.

In a letter to Gov. Jim Pillen, state Sen. Carol Blood wrote, "There have been multiple instances of techs being assaulted by patients and it appears there is little to no precedent when it comes to recourse for these actions."
