Hekmatyar Shares Own Peace Plan With Afghan Leaders
Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, the head of Hizb-e-Islami on Thursday said that his party has shared its plan for peace with influential political factions in Afghanistan.
The withdrawal of foreign forces from Afghanistan and the establishment of an interim setup are part of the plan.
Hekmatyar said that a number of members of the High Council of National Reconciliation, political movements and political parties are also working separately on their plans for discussions in the upcoming UN-led conference on Afghanistan in Turkey.
Hekmatyar suggested that a single peace plan should be created from the various plans suggested by differing parties.
