In the coming truncated week, the market is expected to consolidate with a positive bias, with focus on Fed interest rate decision, corporate earnings, monthly auto sales numbers, and manufacturing PMI data, experts said.

The options data indicated that the Nifty 50 may take support at 22,200 and 22,000 levels, with resistance at 22,500 and 22,600 levels.

The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.02 per cent down at 48177.8.

The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.66 per cent up at 18586.2.

The 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 454.69 points at 72488.99

The Nifty Pharma index closed 1.72 per cent down at 18788.65.

The Nifty Auto index closed 0.61 per cent down at 21851.3.
