At the time of writing we have now reached the so-called Freedom Day. But other than being able to go to a club, lean against a bar and gather in greater numbers, life hasn’t changed too drastically. Although with cases on the rise across the country especially here in Bury I will use this column to urge restraint, compassion to your neighbours and common sense. Last week I was fortunate and proud to be invited by Israel’s Foreign Minister Yair Lapid to speak at the 7th Global Forum on Combatting Antisemitism in Jerusalem. To be sharing the same platform with experts in the field, professors, seasoned diplomats, and senior members from across the global Jewish community was, I’ll admit, a tad daunting.
