(AP) — Two eastern Missouri men are accused of dumping the body of a woman who apparently died of an accidental drug overdose on a rural highway. The body of Mikayla Jones, 18, of Farmington, was identified Friday after she was found the day before in Washington County. Jones was last seen May 4 or May 5 at a home near Belgrade. Washington County Sheriff Zach Jacobsen said Jones died of a suspected accidental drug overdose and her body was left on Highway M between Caledonia and Irondale. Andrew Franklin Pierce, of Blackwell, and Ethan Civey, of Belgrade, have been charged with tampering with physical evidence and abandonment of a corpse.

(KFVS) - The Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted kidnapping of a 10-year-old girl from a home near Highway M on Tuesday afternoon, March 9. Parents of the girl called 911 shortly after 4:45 p.m. to report that she had gone missing. Sheriff’s Office deputies and members of the North Bollinger county Fire Protection District responded to the home and began searching for the missing girl. She was found a short distance from the home at approximately 6 p.m. by an individual involved in the search.
