The Redmond High Theatre Company is performing Little Women, based on the classic novel by Louisa May Alcott and adapted by Kevin Cunningham. Show times at Redmond High are Nov. 4-5 and 10-12 at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee featuring the understudy cast on Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. The March family has inspired generations of readers and writers around the world with the heartfelt story of Jo and her three spirited sisters. The four sisters live in Concord, Mass. with their mother, Marmee, while their father is on the Civil War battlefield. Filled with adventure, heartbreak, and a deep sense of hope; the struggle of these "Little Women" to find their own voices mirrors the growing pains of a young America. The fresh script by Kevin Cunningham provides the blueprint for a traditional retelling that honors the original. A framing device of readers from different eras, added by RHS Theatre Director Hilda Beltran, celebrates the abiding relevance of Alcott's legacy. The estimated performance run time is 120 minutes, including a 15 minute intermission. Tickets prices are $5 for students, $8 for seniors and $12 for all others.
