our guest host kenneth rogoff from the department of economics at harvard s been our guest for the past hour. it s been great talking to you. pleasure. bottom line, your view for 2010, is modest growth in the 2s, right? but with a lot of caveats about some of the risks the economy faces. absolutely. i think unemployment s still going to be tough going into this year. and there are a lot of challenges. is the fed going to exit? when? fiscal stimulus, when? will lending pick up? taxes. people don t think about it. they just think, well, they ll tax you or you but they re not going to tax me. and forget it. federal taxes are probably going to top marginal rate maybe 50s? it s going to go to 50 before you can blink. and the state will be close to 16 in the in new york they re going to be looking for revenues every which way. i think that s a tough challenge ahead for our country. you ll come back, i hope. i hope so. ti. make sure you join us tomorrow.
