Former King s Lynn woman raises money for terminally ill mum

A former Kingâs Lynn woman is putting her best foot forward to raise money for Brain Tumour Research in support of her mum who is living with terminal brain cancer.
Full-time mum Lisa Bennett, 36, is taking on the 10,000 Steps a Day in February Challenge to raise vital funds for the charity.
The mum of six has taken on the challenge after her mum Jacquie Amor, 58, was diagnosed with three inoperable secondary (metastatic) brain tumours in August of last year.

Her mum, a former Fairstead and Hillington Square resident, experienced confusion and memory loss.

Following spells at Mae and Barbara Weiss, AJ 40 under 40 architect Yẹmí Aládérun is now major projects manager at Islington and Shoreditch Housing Association
Following her studies at Kingston University, where she completed Parts 1-3 plus an additional architecture masters in ‘Thinking Building’, Àlàdérun’s passion for good-quality social housing began at the start of her career working for Mae on projects including Hillington Square in King’s Lynn for Freebridge Community Housing.
She went on to spend more than six years working at Barbara Weiss Architects, where she eventually became an associate, gaining more experience on residential schemes.
