Manali: The Himalayan Serow, a subspecies of the mainland serow that was presumed extinct, was sighted and photographed in the cold deserts of the Spiti valley for the first time.
According to reports, the rare goat antelope was spotted by a number of residents of the Hurling village.
Following the sighting, a wildlife department team reached the spot for rescue operations and managed to take some pictures of the elusive animal.
