Hindu minorities in Bangladesh recently faced attacks amid rumours of alleged Facebook posts slandering Islam.

The video of their act went viral on social media and came to the notice of Hindu groups like Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal.

The plea said that the idols of the Hindu deities are locked up behind closed doors, citing the claims by some historians and some Hindu groups about the monument being an old Shiv Temple, said an ANI report.

A plea was filed in the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court seeking the directions to the Archaeological Survey of India to probe the 22 closed doors in the Taj Mahal to ascertain the presence of the idols of Hindu deities.

The petition has been filed by Dr. Rajneesh Singh, BJPs media in-charge of the Ayodhya district. The petition has been filed by one Dr Rajneesh Singh who claimed to be the media in-charge of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Ayodhya unit.
