[applause] good evening, everyone. You will its my pleasure to welcome you to the celebration of the 2018 president ial site summit. The Kennedy Center is the perfect venue for this. Its so fitting because it itself is a president ial site which is dedicated as a living memorial to president john f. Kennedy. And to assure the authentic nature of this historical gathering, the Kennedy Center brought it back to the 1800s in terms of the temperature in washington, d. C. Next in oral history interview with joseph lewis grappo recorded in austin, texas in 2015 by the korean war legacy foundation. He talks about taking part at turn the tideat earlier in the war and recounts finding fighting Chinese Forces at chosin reservoir where he was shot in the leg and shoulder. I was struck last night by the photo of the first steak dinner that we saw and how it was just a bunch of men gathered in the blue there and how things are now, but how we should uncover the stories because there were clearly women behind all those men standing in that picture as. There are women throughout history and through what were doing. And so that how we will the panel that we will have this morning to discuss this. And so let me introduce our panels.
