The International Holocaust Remembrance Day is an international memorial day observed on January 27 every year. The day commemorates the tragedy of the Holocaust during the Second World War. The day was officially proclaimed in November 2005 as International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust by the United Nations General Assembly.
The International Holocaust Remembrance Day commemorates the genocide that resulted in the death of 6 million Jews and 11 million others by the Nazi regime and its collaborators.
