ZCPO logo ZAMBOANGA CITY - A motorcycle driver died while two others were hurt in a head-on collision along the Maria Clara Lorenzo Lobregat (MCLL) highway on Rizal Day here, the police reported Friday. Lt. Mary Agnes Miro, city police information officer, said the incident transpired around 8:30 p.m. Thursday in Barangay Victoria. Miro identified the fatality as John Cris Ramos, 19, of Barangay Victoria. His 17-year-old back-riding female companion was injured in the incident. Also hurt was Erol John de Dios, 27, who was riding alone on his motorcycle at the time of the accident. Investigation showed that the two motorcycles collided head-on after De Dios encroached on the opposite lane while driving toward the east coastal area while Ramos and his female companion were on their way to the city proper from Barangay Sangali.
