The Spar shop at Hockmeyer Motors has handed over much-needed cleaning products, beverage supplies and pasta for cooking sessions at the Rainbow Stars hub in Kesteven Street. They donated another £200 too.
Rainbow Stars co-founder Jane Peck said they were “so grateful” for the donation.
Rachael Hockmeyer explained a friend and colleague on the Spar Guild, Raj Aggarwal, died last year from coronavirus, aged 51, having just donated tea and biscuits to the nurses at Glenfield Hospital. She said he was a larger than life character who looked after lots of worthy groups and charities in his community. To continue Raj’s legacy, she decided to look for a cause doing great work in Sleaford, that has been adversely affected by coronavirus: “Rainbow Stars are such a worthy cause that we were keen to help them in any way we could.”
