These 10 outstanding Blackburn schools will face re-inspection under new rules
ALMOST a dozen outstanding schools are set to face inspectors for the first time since controversial exemptions were axed. From September, Ofsted will resume inspecting schools across the country and for the first time in almost a decade, those deemed outstanding will also face compulsory routine visits. Figures from the education watchdog, covering 67 of Blackburn with Darwen s primary and secondary schools, show that 10 received an outstanding rating the last time they were inspected. They are: Blackburn the Redeemer CofE Primary; Hoddlesden St Paul s Church of England Primary School; Pleckgate High School; St Barnabas and St Paul s Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School; St Cuthbert s Church of England Primary School; St Gabriel s Church of England Primary School; Tauheedul Islam Boys High School; Tauheedul Islam Girls High School; The Olive School Blackburn and Wensley Fold Co
