From: Providing gifts for children at Christmas Our annual Christmas challenge usually takes place on the Sellafield site and offices in Cumbria and around its Warrington offices, which are based in Birchwood. This year, instead of collecting a mountain of presents, we’ve had to improvise due to the pandemic, but our employees still wanted to provide support to our local community, which is needed now more than ever. Employees have been supporting CFM’s ‘Cask4Kids Mission Christmas’ appeal, to make sure every local child wakes up with a gift on Christmas day.

Warrington charity gets £1k cash grant from Amazon

Amazon has helped Home-Start A FAMILY support charity has received a £1,000 donation from the Amazon in Great Sankey. Home-Start Warrington is a network of trained volunteers that helps families with young children through challenging times. The charity offers informal home visits where volunteers can work with families one-to-one. The donation will go into the charity’s family fund which means it can provide craft and play activities during lockdown and potential day’s out next year. Priyanka Bernard, site leader at Amazon Warrington, said: “Home-Start Warrington provides great support for many families and we are glad we can make this contribution. It is important for every young family to receive guidance and feel supported, so we are grateful for the work this charity does.”
