Of the balboa station. The plan is to turn this into safe overnight parking for those who live in their vehicles. Seems like you spend a lot of resources to develop this plan. Will it go to a vote of the people . It goes through the legislative process. Reporter shane mcgraph was upset after the Community Meeting. My concern is they will make balboa look like the 24th and mission or 16th and mission where it is overrun with homeless people. Its an open air drug market. Reporter he was one of hundreds who showed up for a Community Meeting with San Francisco police, Homeless Outreach services and city supervisor asha who proposed the pilot program. These individuals already live here. They are living in their vehicles now. And, this is a particular tailored response for our neighborhood. Reporter supervisor safai says the last few years the number of homeless in the neighborhood has increased. And in response, he wants to open a Triage Center with 24 hour security, bathrooms, and social

Affordable housing in the mission for generations to come. [applause] now we all know the sad history of rewoment in our city. The community that i grew up in the Western Addition and what happened to that community. A lot of propsses were made. A lot of housing was built. But when the time came, for example, in the Public Housing that i grew up in, 300 units torn down, 200 units built and the difficulty of so many of us being able to move back to the community. You remember this joyce armstrong, what happened in the Western Addition and how it really sadly destroyed a very vibrant African American community. And we look at this as a Lesson Learned and we have to think of the challenges that existed back then and what we have to do to change that for the future of San Francisco. And we are going to protect our diversity and our communities. We have to start making the right kinds of investments. Its why, when i was on the board of supervisors with this community, Roberto Hernandez was
With chief williams report. That evening on the 7th, i went to Mclaren Lodge where there was the park and tree lighting, and then, on the 11th, i had a meeting with raiders that had been brought in, people that had expertise in the field of Fire Investigation and Fire Prevention. They bring colleagues in from throughout the nation to kpum in and score exams, so they had expertise in those areas to score the lieutenants exam for the bureau of fire chiefs and bureau of Fire Investigation. I believe we had 33 people take the h22, bureau of fire presentation exam, and then, 13 participated in the h24 over at the bureau of Fire Investigation exam. And also in the last period, we had the full h20 exam administered. Its the lieutenants exam. There was three parts to it, and my understanding is there was roughly about 250 that that took all three parts of the exam, so were awaiting results in the new year on both of those exams. And i believe that concludes my report. Thank you. Thank you, chi
Outlier. Were going to see that in the next few quarters, i anticipate, because were now doing a better job of trying to understand where resources should be going, but these are questions we need to be asking in the new year, so when the mayor asks us to reduce or budget, we can say well, mr. Mayor, madam mayor, whoever it is, were now doing homeless were doing some type of Homeless Outreach or our services are now, you know, expanding in all of these different ways. I dont know but just in the recent and maybe its just this time of year, but theres been a lot of calls related to pg e. So maybe its annual. Im not sure if its just this time of year that this happens. I dont know. But what are these outliers . Are we using this information and are we building the best budgets when it comes to budget time . Id like more information on the station 49 hander and how its reflected in our budget, and how its reflected in their budget, as well. I appreciate the job that you do, mr. Corso. I d
