Alma Jean (Montague) Maines, almost 92, went to her Lord on April 7, 2021 in Zephyrhills, Fla.
She was born to James and Helen Montague on April 8, 1929, raised as a member of the Friends Church and Hughesville Camp Meeting Association. She graduated from Hughesville High in 1947 in the “higher honor” group and was awarded the honor key. She was Editor-In-Chief on the staff of the Monarch (the senior yearbook), business manager of the play “Little Miss Hitch-Hiker” as a junior in 1946, then played a part in “Keep Moving” in her senior year. Alma married and moved to Pinellas Park, Fla. in 1959. Later, when her father passed away she returned to Hughesville and purchased a Card Shop on Main St. Then in 2001, she retired to Spring Hill, Fla. and became active with the Hope Missionary Church.
