Our Correspondent Diphu, Sep. 6 (EMN): Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ASRLM) under Sakhi Express on Tuesday distributed 200 gearless scooters to Sakhi workers of 7 development blocks in a programme held here at Diphu Club on Tuesday. Distributing the gearless scooters to Sakhi workers, the chief executive member (CEM), Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang, said the central and state governments have been supporting the SHGs by introducing various schemes so that they can stand on their own feet. The government has thought of helping the SHGs with their conveyance problems by providing gearless scooters to them, the CEM said. Our Correspondent Diphu, Aug. 8 (EMN): A sit-in was held at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Monday led by Karbi Anglong NC Hills Autonomous State Demand Committee (KANCHASDCOM) and supported by various organisations of Karbi Anglong, West Karbi Anglong and NC Hills to pressurise the Central government for immediate implementation of Article 244(A) of Indian constitution and granting autonomous state.
