District sets March 16 goal

HORNELL For the first time since in-person instruction was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic nearly 12 months ago, a Hornell City School District building is preparing to bring students back to classrooms full-time.
Starting March 16, the district plans to offer five days a week, in-classroom instruction at North Hornell Elementary School, according to Superintendent Jeremy P. Palotti.
The school’s plan was explained in a letter to parents posted on the district’s website Feb. 3. The missive also included a survey to gauge parents’ interest and concerns.
The Hornell School Board met on the same day the letter was posted.
